Calling all Mad Hatters! This week you can follow Alice down the rabbit hole with ACMI’S latest world premiere exhibition, celebrating all things Wonderland.
While we can’t guarantee any ‘Drink Me’ potions at the door, the exhibition will be enough to keep you and the fam entertained for hours.
Exploring Alice’s journey through pop culture, Wonderland tracks the re-imagination of our favourite day-dreamer since her first appearance back in 1865. It's chock-full of behind-the-scenes material, original animation frames and concept art. You can take a peek through the looking glass at the magic that takes Wonderland from page to screen.
It's a family-friendly exhibition too. There's a 'Family Fun Night', offering kids after-hours access to try their hand at some actual Alice-themed animation. For slightly-bigger children (you know who you are), there’ll be pizza, so everybody wins.
At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter if you're five or 50. No-one outgrows Disney.
ACMI is catering for all Wonderland-enthusiasts too, offering low-sensory exhibition visits for people with autism and sensory sensitivities. Nice one.
