Five Awesome Things To Do In Sydney This Week

By Mathew Trenear - 27 Nov 2017

We all need a little bit of fun to break up the work week amirite? We’ve done the hard work for you and gathered together five fab activities for you to get involved in this week—solo or with your mates, it’s guaranteed to be a good time.

If you’re into authentic AF Italian food, wine, more wine and a spot of lolly scoffing then keep on reading because these are our favourite things to do in Sydney this week.

All Week

Clicquot Hour at the North Bondi Fish Bar

Bondi beach and bubbles—try and find a better pairing, we dare you. For the months of December and January Veuve Clicquot and North Bondi Fish have teamed up for a happy hour like no other. Sip on a cheeky flute of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label or rosé while chowing down on some of chef Zac Sykes’ creations, every weeknight from 5pm. That’s right, you now have an excuse for a glass of champers every single day of the week, not that you ever needed one. More deets here

Where: North Bondi Fish Bar
When: Weekdays from Monday 27 November 2017 - Friday 26 January 2018, 5pm-7pm
Cost: $30 incl. flute and bar snack

Allen’s Lollysmith Pop-Up

Warning: This sugar high will last you all week. Arriving just in time for the Christmas present buying, Allen’s is letting you loose in their pop-up lolly bar and FYI you’ll be creating your very own custom lolly jar. Featuring the return of old faithful’s like green frogs and spearmint leaves (YUM!) it’s a bloody blast from the past and we love it. Whether the jar is for you or a mate, head over here to order online or check out the pop-up at Westfield Sydney.

Wine Night

We know you know need to hear the words ‘wine night’ to be sold on this one but don’t you worry your little wine-loving head—we’ll give you even more to get excited about. The O.G. of Italian cooking in Sydney, Machiavelli Ristorante is hosting one night of wine and four authentic courses of delish Italian food this week. It’ll involve things like house-made ravioli with scamp in a cherry tomato sauce and we’re all about it.

Where: Machiavelli Ristorante Italiano
When: Tuesday 28 November,
Cost: $120 pp

Séance At The Rocks

A white shipping container in the middle of The Rocks has been transformed into a big fat fun house and FYI, it’s not for the faint-hearted. We introduce to you, Séance. The fully immersive experience uses 3D sound and complete darkness to take your imagination to its limits and all the way back again. The Séance team will control every aspect of the spine-tingling experience, though they recognise each person’s imagination will take them to different places. Are you spooked yet? Book your seat here, but not if your claustrophobic (that would NOT be a good time).
