When Scott Bridger announced he was returning home to Leighton Beach it just felt right. The beloved chef is back on familiar coastal turf with Pearla & Co., a refined yet relaxed North Fremantle restaurant built around exceptional local seafood, thoughtful hospitality and the kind of long lunches that somehow drift into sunset drinks.

After 25 years on the waterfront, Little Creatures has officially entered a new era, and having shifted next door is now a sprawling two-level venue on Fishing Boat Harbour. The new look venue boasts sweeping harbour views, fresh new dining spaces and enough room for 1300 locals to settle in for a very long afternoon.

Your friendly neighbourhood bistro has opened on Beaufort Street. Modern, warm and effortlessly relaxed, Bistro Massilia is the kind of community go-to that Inglewood has been waiting for. With a Mediterranean influence on French cuisine, your tastebuds will be tickled. Settle into their casual bar, take a table in the dining room or cool down in the courtyard. This is a restaurant built for any occasion. 

Coastal views, stunning interiors and a seriously good wine list combine at Brighton Wine Bar, soon to open in Scarborough. Perch up on alfresco high tops for an ocean view vantage point, or settle into the moodier plum-leather booths inside for a more intimate affair. Either way, you’re in for a treat. 

It doesn’t get much better than cocktails on the coast here in the west, so we’re welcoming the news of a brand new beachside bar this summer, but this one's bringing some serious flash and flair. Tigerfish is bringing a spicy new Southeast Asian concept to Perth’s shoreline, and we’re here for it.

The White Horse Tavern is your go-to for after-work pints, lazy Sunday sessions, and family dinners that actually feel relaxed. Inside the venue, there’s a sprawling main tavern, a sun-soaked alfresco area (yes, it’s pet-friendly), and an upstairs mezzanine with its own bar, perfect for birthdays and milestone hangs.

Inglewood’s newest neighbourhood venue, House On Beau, is a mid-century lounge that feels like slow living room drinks, only better.  Taking over the much-loved Casa Eventi space, it’s bringing a fresh new chapter to Beaufort Street’s bar scene.

Bang On Brows has you covered when it comes to flawless arches, shaping, tinting, laminating and cosmetic tattooing. With a strong rep for natural results and skilled brow artists, you’ll leave feeling fresh and polished. If you find yourself by The Heritage, swing next door to uncover this premium wine store and bottle shop, a must-visit for vino lovers. Pink Taquito is the latest chapter of the Stories precinct, and the pretty-in-pink partner venue to the upstairs Ugly Baby. Bringing a fiery new take on modern Mexican, it is an electric space where tequila-based cocktails and ‘grammable moments are front and centre. 

Already loved in Byron Bay, Noosa, Newcastle, Gold Coast and Burleigh Heads, Light Years has opened its doors here in Perth. The upbeat Asian diner promises punchy plates and a curated wine list featuring plenty of local vino.

It's the counter-culture can and cocktail bar meets metal speakeasy that's just landed in Perth (with a mighty burnout baptism to welcome it to the neighbourhood). DEADBEAT is a callback to the subcultures of the 80s and 90s, bringing metal mayhem to the CBD.

A new address, but the same incredible lavish services and bespoke interiors, Holly Garvey remains one of Perth’s most coveted beauty destinations. From professional brow and lash makeovers to flawless makeup application by industry experts, this studio is the ultimate go-to. 

We haven’t yet found a box that The Standard in Northbridge doesn’t tick. Big call, but the roast chicken roll at Coffee Heads might just be our favourite thing to come out of 2023. The warm, succulent roast chicken, the herby remoulade, the slightly toasted potato bun—it's giving rooster roll nostalgia in the very best way and is the one thing we'll always make time for on a road trip down south.

One of the few silver linings to come out of COVID was when Will Meyrick—the chef-owner behind super popular Balinese establishments Sarong and Mama San (to name a couple)—decided to move his family here while Bali was in shutdown mode and open up his own Perth venue, Will St.
