Yep, it's true—these guys are giving away free waffles to the first 50 customers to walk through their door. The cafe is called Pitcher and Iron and it's set to shake things up a bit in Subiaco with Liege-style waffles, milkshakes and Belgian hot chocolates. Liege waffles (also known as Belgian waffles) are denser and sweeter than the traditional kind, made with a yeast-raised dough rather than a batter—sounds delicious!

The Pitcher and Iron grand opening is going down on Saturday 11 November from 3pm, and we're hanging out to try everything on their menu, especially the Jean Claude—waffles with beer ice cream and topped with maple bacon, honeycomb pieces and crumbled speculoos; and The Carnival—waffles with brown sugar roasted bananas and vanilla ice cream topped with caramel popcorn and salted caramel sauce. And did we mention they'll be serving banoffee and speculoos milkshakes?!

The Details

Where: Pitcher and Iron, 1/23 Railway Road, Subiaco
When: From 3pm, Saturday 11 November
