It appears there is no stopping the Middle Eastern or Mediterranean food trend in Sydney, and you won’t hear any complaints from us. The newest addition to the Waterloo restaurant and café scene is Kepos & Co., headed up by the guys behind one of Sydney’s best cafes, Kepos Street Kitchen.
Tel-Aviv born head chef and owner Michael Rantissi will be heading up the Danks Street location, and is excited to bring his love of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food to our fair city.
Kepos & Co. is open for lunch and dinner during the week, as well as for all-day brunch on weekends. The menu alone will have you reaching for your keys and wallet quick smart. If you’re heading in for lunch, think whole roasted baby cauliflower with cumin and raw tahini, or smoked trout salad with freekeh, asparagus, coriander and almond. If it’s a dinnertime affair, we’re definitely eyeing off the whole snapper with walnuts, chilli, and herbs, and the labneh cheesecake for dessert. There’s also a specialty tea menu for the lovers of leaves out there.
Whenever you decide to head to Kepos & Co., be sure to pack your appetite and your open mind, it’s a whole new world of flavour.
