We’re pretty spoilt here on the Coast. We’re lucky enough to have beautiful weather 365 days a year and a whole bunch of awesome outdoor events and activities to keep our weekends full. And still, local businesses keep coming up with rad things for us to do. Enter GC fave, Burleigh Brewing Co. and their new outdoor cinema. That’s right people, beers and blockbusters all under the night sky #winning.
Launching July 26, the cinema will take place on the last Thursday of each month. To kick off proceedings they’ll be screening the ridiculously funny Super Bad—night out with the crew anybody?
To ensure they stay true to their mantra of supporting local artists, they’ve partnered with the team from the Gold Coast Film Festival and will pre-screen short films from local film makers prior to each feature film. We’ll take our hats off to that epic initiative.
What would a movie screening in a brewery be without beer we hear you ask? Never fear, the gang at Burleigh Brewing have got you covered with a range of world class beers for purchase and lunch box style food offerings, think moreish, locally sourced cured meats, cheeses, breads and dips. AKA the perfect accompaniment to a bevvy and a flick.
Non-beer drinkers (Why? How?), don’t worry there will be a bunch of non-alcoholic beverages and wine on offer. There will also be an array of furniture for you snuggle in, on a first come, first served basis but we recommend bringing a blanket to rug up in the colder months.
And never one to let rain dampen their parade, Burleigh Brewing has even got an indoor cinema option just in case. Rain, hail or shine, they’ve got your back.
Tickets are just $15 which, let’s be honest, is a bargain compared to most mainstream cinemas these days, and even better if you pre-book online you’ll get a schooner of your fave brew too—YAS! Can you tell we’re just a wee bit excited? We’ll catch you at the flicks.
