All Weekend Long

Bleach* Festival

It’s here again, guys, and Bleach* Festival is bigger than bloomin’ ever. Spanning 18 huge days right across the Coast, it’s gotta be one of the best things to do on the Gold Coast this Easter long weekend!

Head along to Feast on Fifth in Palm Beach with an empty belly and all of your dance moves in your back pocket on Saturday 31 March. Palmy sure knows how to party and in true foodie fashion, are serving up every single cuisine you could imagine (fish and chips, sushi and Mexican right up to Spanish and Indian—yep, everything). You’re bound to leave with a big ol’ belly like an Easter bunny. That is, of course, if you don’t get shaking to local tunes from 4pm!

Wanna walk through a local’s home? Bleach’s interesting event, Home Visits, lets you do exactly that. Hosting a range of loungeroom performances across the Gold Coast, take a sneak peak into the real local side of our home base for a sticky beak. With just 10 locations and intimate guest lists of 15, you’ll want to pick up your $10 ticket pretty darn quickly!

And let’s not forget Bleach* at Burleigh, running April 1 to 3 from 10am. For the young and young at heart, this free music and theatre event will see outrageous beach themed shows, an exploration of cultures and the occasional angry shark lurking around and causing all types of mischief.

Ahh, the faithful treasure hunt. Although in true NightQuarter fashion, these guys are mixing their Good Friday Easter treasure hunt up, big time. The first lucky kidlets through the gates (from 4pm) can pick up their playing cards and bags for five bucks a pop. Then they’ll compete some kooky little actions from their game cards to receive their Easter treats. Kids doing cute stuff, we can dig it. If you’re less about coochy coochy cheek pinching and more about fire, then fear not our Easter bunnies, you’ve found the treasure of your hunt as well. NightQuarter are also putting together a mesmerising stage show filled with twirling acrobatics, mind boggling magicians, aerial artists and, of course, fire. At $3 for entry, it’s gotta be one of the most unconventional things to do on the Gold Coast this Easter long weekend, but also completely thrilling.
