How are we going to do this? Well, we’re not. But Elixiba is! Tomorrow, this plant-based restaurant at The Kitchens is going all out with a $5 dessert day. Hells yeah!
With over 10 vegan and gluten-free desserts to choose from, we reckon you should scrap the meal plan and instead work your way through this mouth-watering list. Because, YOLO!
From single serves of warm maple pumpkin pie samosa and a spiced apple and walnut crumble with ice-cream, to a salted caramel chocolate tart—all dessert-lovers are well and truly taken care of. Already struggling to choose between those three, let alone TEN? Then take a friend and opt for the dessert platter ($30 p/person), where you’ll get to dine on alllll of the desserts plus two drinks. We’re entering a food coma just thinking about it.
To wash it all down, Elixiba are also offering desserty drinks like the Snickers Spider—peanut butter fudge, raw chocolate sauce, caramel ice cream, and bubbles—and the Tiramisu Martini—a tantalising combo of Fairtrade coffee liqueur, Crème Ce Cacao and house-infused vanilla vodka. Not sold? Try the Red Velvet Cake Latte or the Gingerbread Latte. Drool!
Don’t forget it’s school holidays, folks, so if you’re with a group or you’re escaping work for a “dessert break”, make sure you book a table or you might miss out.
