There are loads of opportunities to jump in to Melbourne’s art scene this week with a few live music events, an epic gallery opening and a film festival. Foodies need not despair, there’s something on the weekend for you too!
GET YOUR TICKETS FOR THE JUNGLE GIANTS
Brilliant Brisbane band, The Jungle Giants have announced the details of their up-coming Melbourne tour in September and tickets have been on sale for a few days now. So quick sticks, round up your friends, lock it in and jump online to secure your tickets. The Jungle Giants will be playing at Melbourne live music venue, the Corner Hotel, on 12th of September, so you won’t want to miss it.
World-renowned concept gallery, LUMAS has opened its first Australian gallery in Richmond. Displaying a unique and authentic range of art—from photography and digital art to contemporary design pieces, the LUMAS concept gallery aims to make the art market more accessible for regular consumers. SCANDINAVIAN FILM FESTIVAL
The Scandinavian Film Festival kicks of in Melbourne this Thursday with the premiere of Here is Harold at the Palace Cinema, Como. The Film will be shown at 7:00pm and a Scandi celebration with cake wines and Nordic flavours will follow. The festival runs until the 26th of July. You’ll find further details and ticket info here.
LEAPS & BOUNDS FESTIVAL AT THE GEM BAR & DINING ROOM
Two of our favourite things are joining forces this week—live Melbourne music and The Gem Bar & Dining Room. Leaps and Bounds Festival will be hosting two gigs this week at The Gem. Friday 10th will see Hank Ferguson come together with his cosmonauts, Peter Baylor, Rick Dempster, Pepita Emmerichs and Steve Temple to perform a Hank Williams Tribute.
On Sunday 12th you’ll be able to catch Paulie Bignell and the Thornbury Two performing an amalgam of traditional rock’n’roll, blues, rockabilly and country.

HEAD TO TRUFFLE MELBOURNE
