Didn’t get to escape for a European summer like the rest of bloody Melbourne? Yeah, us either. But we’ve got the next best thing: prepare your best Instagram filters and get ready for a day of sweet, Greek culture, because Oinofilia is returning to Melbourne this month.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Oinofilia, it’s a one-day festival in celebration of Greek wines and food, that debuted in Melbourne last year. You can look forward to 19 different producers from Greece showcasing more than 80 different Greek wines. Light-weights, take it easy.
The festival was created by REVEL Global, the same guys behind wine and food events like Pinot Palooza and MOULD – A Cheese Festival (which we wouldn’t mind going to, just by the way). REVEL’s founder and director, says “Oinofilia, from the Greek oîn, is by definition a love of wine. We all love Greek food, culture, and those islands, now it’s time to celebrate Greek wine.”
And it gets better. In true Greek style, a variety of delicious Greek foods from Camberwell’s Elyros restaurant and its sister Epocha, together with Prahran Market’s Sweet Greek, will be putting on a feast for one and all.
There you go, There you go.
When: Sunday June 24, 12pm – 5pm
