While most of us are getting used to having our groceries delivered rather than stepping out to the supermarket, Melbourne's markets have been busy coming up with new ways for you to get the fresh produce you're after.
Melbourne's biggest market, Queen Victoria Market, has just launched a pre-order and pick up service. All available without leaving your car.
All you have to do is place an order directly with traders by phone, email, or via the trader's website. You can get all their info on the Queen Vic Market website.
Once trader's have confirmed your order, you'll pay, then agree on a pick-up date and time. The fresh produce will then be brought to your car in the designated pick-up zone on Queen Street opposite D Shed.
Pick-up is available from 8am until 2pm Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from 8am to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday. Orders must be received by 5pm the day prior for next-day pick-up.
There are more than 40 Queen Vic Market favourites that you can order from, including George the Fishmonger, The Chicken Pantry, Vic Meat Supply, The EGGsperts, Andrew's Bread Shop, and many more.
