Food takes centre stage this week and TBH that’s really nothing new. You’ll feast on food inspired by the deep south then balance it all out with a silent yoga disco. You may even have time to learn sign language over a coffee (or four).
Grab your BFF and some yoga tights—equally important for the eating as it is for the yoga—here are five awesome things to do in Sydney this week.
Monday 23 October
Mercado x Belle's Hot Chicken
Fried chicken has a special, crispy little place in all of our hearts. Yeah, you’ll be all over this one. Nathan Sasi of Mercado and Morgan McGlone of Belle's Hot Chicken have joined forces for one night only and trust us, your taste buds will thank you for this delicious gift. The duo is throwing it back to their time working together at Husk in South Carolina, so the food is legit. Seats are going fast—grab yours here.
When: Monday 23 October, 6.30pm – 9.30pm
Where: Mercado Restaurant
Cost: $175pp incl. beverages
Tuesday 24 October
Flow After Dark
Sure, you’ve been to a few silent discos in your day, but we can promise this one is way better than that. Flow Athletic is bringing the blissed-out yoga vibes to The Hordern this week for a silent flow yoga session and you’ve earned this. We are all about that #fitspo life so you better believe we’ll be there. Head here to get your tickets because this one will sell out.
When: Tuesday 24 October
Where: Hordern Pavilion, Moore Park
Beergustation Fine Dining Experience
Keen on a degustation, but wine just isn’t your thing? Then listen in because the guys from Wayward Brewing Co and Acre Eatery have joined forces for a (wait for it) beergustation. There’ll be a five-course tasting menu designed with a farm-to-fork ethos and each dish is paired with a delish beer. You’ll tackle the slow cooked beef cheek with pine nuts, chocolate and raisins for main before diving into the dulce de leche semifreddo for dessert. You better leave room for it or we can’t be friends. Book your seat here.
When: Tuesday 24 October, 6pm - 10pm
Where: Acre Eatery, 13A Mallett St, Camperdown
Wednesday 25 October
TENDER STORIES @ BLACK BAR & GRILL
Just when you thought hump day was boring, Scott Pickett (of Melbourne’s Estelle Bistro fame) comes to town and takes over BLACK Bar & Grill with the help of Dany Karam to cook you up an absolute storm. For one night only, these two master chefs will serve up a delicious menu including smoked wallaby, king salmon confit and a whole lot more so nab yourself a seat and regret nothing. Get all the deets here.
