Sydneysiders, we know you’re struggling. As a city by the beach, we can never be ready enough for the chill. However, Sydney doesn’t stop moving just because winter has come (we’re probably going to be making this joke until next season GoT, btw). Sydney knows that, in the absence of a warm fireplace, there is nothing better than a little glass of something to get you through the winter. Pile on the layers people, ‘cause Sydney is ready to warm you from the inside out at these awesome events.
The Battle Of Grape Vs Grain At The Public Cammeray
So, we’ve all had that argument with a friend where one is strongly on the side of beer and the other is all about the wine. In the end, you just agree to disagree and move on to who has to get the next round. The Public Cammeray have the answer once and for all... and it’s to combine the two for an epically delicious degustation. That’s right, head chef, James Featherstone has created a menu that perfectly complements the McLaren Vale faves Richard Hamilton Wines and Vale Brewing Beers. As the girl on the taco ad says…¿porque no los dos?

The Great British Shake Off At Kensington Street Social
If you’re not about the wine or whiskey, this event might be the one for you. For one night only, Global Angostura Rum Champion 2014 and proud Aussie, Mike Tomasic will face off against Global Gin Connoisseur 2013 and Mancunian (that’s someone from Manchester, if you didn’t know), Jamie Jones in The Great British Shake Off. This basically just means that you’re going to get some of the best pun-driven cocktails of your life. In the absence of Maggie Beer or Mary Berry to judge (Bake Off is a guilty pleasure, okay?), it will be up to you to decide who takes out the crown in this age-old rivalry at Kensington Street Social.
Where: Kensington Street Social
When: Thursday July 7th
Cost: Just the cost of your cocktails... We suggest booking a table though.
