In news that’s sure to make dogs all over Melbourne continue what they’re doing in complete ignorance, your favourite dog-friendly music festival is coming back in November.
Yep, Dogapalooza is hitting the grassy slopes of Richmond’s Burnley Park on Sunday 12th November. Why should you care about this? First, because it’s called Dogapalooza ffs. Secondly, because it’s pretty much the ultimate dog’s day out.
There’s gonna be a great line-up of local Melbourne artists, dog-washing stations (courtesy of Blue Wheelers) and a pop-up Moon Dog Brewery Bar. Bespoke pet vendors like Pethaus will be on-site slinging the merch, and there’s even gonna be the inaugural Dogapalooza Awards, with categories including ‘best inner city hipster’ and ‘quiet achiever’ (if, you know, your dog always meets its deadlines, but never makes a fuss or gets involved in office politics).
Food-wise, you can expect ethical and sustainable nosh from Dogapalooza’s own in-house pie stall, Rice & Dice, Waffle and Shake and Moon Dog Brewery. All proceeds go to Oscar’s Law, Melbourne’s dog rescue groups: Stafford Rescue Victoria, Greyhound Rescue Victoria, Melbourne Animal Rescue and Puppy Tails Rescue.
Get in quick, tickets will go faster than an unclaimed bag of Schmackos.
Where: Burnley Park, Richmond
When: 11am – 5pm, Sunday 12 November
