Spring Racing Carnival at Prix Fixe

Philippa Sibley has done it again, with a Spring Racing November menu that has a personal touch. Being born during the historic event of the Melbourne cup in 1967, the name Philippa even means 'lover of horses'. With November being a month close to her heart, she has designed a fun, frivolous menu to match the spring racing fever! Think gazpacho, crab, avocado and baby basil, followed by a chicken terrine with champagne jelly, asparagus spears, salad cream and smoked salmon roulade. Delightful!

MoVida Solera at MoVida Aqui

Frank Camorra and Richard Cornish go together like chocolate and more chocolate. After their fantastic MoVida's Guide to Barcelona, we can't wait for the launch of their latest book, MoVida Solera. The book recounts tales of their travels through Andalucia, and to celebrate the launch, MoVida Aqui is hosting a five-course dinner reflecting some of the delicious flavours from this Spanish region. Gastronomique

Looking for feel good things to do in Melbourne this November? An Anglicare Victoria project, Gastronomique has brought together over 25 of Victoria's greatest chefs for a food and wine charity night. Aiming to raise funds and awareness towards the support of vulnerable children, this great cause will see chefs donating their time, produce and expertise to cook for over 500 people at the Peninsula, Central Pier in Docklands. Melbourne favourites like Adam D'Sylva (Coda, Tonka), Scott Pickett (Estelle, Saint Crispin), Brad Simpson (The Smith), and tonnes more, will be jumping onboard, supporting the cause by doing what they do best!
