It's back baby. The Great Alpine Arts Trail is kicking off this Saturday.

Take a drive along the Great Alpine Road to a menagerie of arts, crafts, artisan food, and drinks at every corner (literally) as you stop off at artists’ open studies, cellar doors, and local produce stalls. There's a tonne of events on offer, with the opening night at the Omeo Caravan Park kicking off on Friday 4 May. Grab a burg (our favourite type of fuel after a long drive) and grab a chair around the bonfire, snuggle up and listen to some age-old stories. Some events you'll need to book, like the delicious home-cooked dinner and live tunes at the Albion Hotel on Saturday.

When you’re not fine dining, there's a bunch of educational workshops too—everything from basketry to pressing your own olive oil. Some of them even have some complimentary treats included as well. Delish!

You’re probably thinking: we’re here. we’re read, now where the heck do we stay? Don’t worry, the Great Arts Gallery have you covered with accommodation partnerships across Tongio and Omeo, which are all bookable through Airbnb.

If you’re bringing the fam, there's plenty to keep the kids occupied. Check out open artists studios, as well as the Market at Swifts Creek featuring arts, crafts and local produce. So what are you waiting for? Hit that acceleration on your car and get down to regional Victoria this weekend. Hell Yeah.
