Learning how to make new cocktails has been a lifesaver during lockdown. Not only can you impress everyone with your new skills, but they're also delicious. It's a win-win.
We're well into spring now, but given we're in Melbourne, we all know that doesn't mean that the warm weather is here just yet. And with some cold days coming up, you might want to get stuck into a Hot Toddy.
These recipes—an Amaro and a whiskey version—were created by Above Board's Hayden Lambert and includes the always delicious Monk's Chai.
Hot Toddys were first created in Scotland nearly 300 years ago. They were comforting whiskey-driven drinks meant to take the edge off of cold afternoons and evenings for the working class.
In these particular recipes, Hayden elevates the humble toddy with the inclusion of a perfumed spicy specialty chai which adds complexity and a deeply comforting dimension to the cocktails.
No drama making these at home, no fancy equipment required.
