Ironbark Barbeque Pops Up at Little Big Sugar Salt

We all like to play matchmaker from time to time in our lives. Those two friends who you would like nothing more than to be their third wheel. Perhaps our matchmaking pursuits are in the name of love, or more likely for the convenience of having two loves in the same place? For your convenience this time the match-making has been done on your behalf as Iron Bark and Little Big Sugar Salt have teamed up for a culinary match made in heaven.

Sometimes the LBSS crew like to forego their usual order of kale and quinoa, and sometimes the Ironbark boys like to flaunt their American inspired barbeque aptitude in the heart of Richmond’s Asian dining precinct… What of it? For the benefit of Melburnians’ tastebuds and for one weekend only, Little Big Sugar Salt will be home to the best American barbeque in town, paired with a few special fermented beverages, and no, we’re not talking about Kombucha.

The American inspired feast with a pairing of Australasian beverages will be held on both Friday 19th and Saturday 20th June—make sure you pen this one down in your diary as the menu will be a FOMO-inducing pairing of deliciousness. To get your mouth salivating we thought we would give you a sneak peek at some of the menu. Before you read on, move your head back so that it hovers over your lap, next place an absorbent towel or cup on your lap, we don’t want you drooling on your keyboard now do we?

The menu includes perfect pairings with the likes of Smoked tomato and bourbon gazpacho and the Pan head ‘Lola Deville’ Saison, NZ, 2015, Lamb Ribs with celeriac, puy lentils, hazelnut and mint and a Ben Glaetzer Shiraz Gernache, Barossa SA, 2015, and the Bramble Mess—blackberry, meringue, cream, sloe gin and lemon served with a winter warming Three Ravens Imperial Stout.
