After closing down in mid-March, a vast amount of Melbourne's cultural institutions are reopening from Monday 1 June with the easing of restrictions in Victoria.

Melbourne Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary, and Werribee Open Range Zoo will open from Monday 1 June with a range of safety measures in place.

All visitors to the zoos, including those with Zoos Victoria memberships, will need to pre-book their tickets online so that the venues can control the volume of visitors to the parks.

The total number of visitors to the zoos haven't been advised as yet, but the amount will be increased over time. Tickets will be available soon, you can get them here.

Melbourne institutions such as NGV, and Melbourne Museum are also permitted to reopen from 1 June, but have not yet announced if they will do so.

Restrictions are expected to ease further from Monday 22 June where galleries and museums would be allowed to 50 visitors. It would be more likely these massive venues would start to open from then on.

Melbourne's restaurants, cafes, and pubs are allowed to reopen for 20 patrons from 1 June. Here's a list of those that will be open then.
