It’s been dishing up amazing fresh produce to the people of Melbourne since 1878, this year though Queen Victoria Market is about to get a digital shakeup which will change the market forever.
“This is a great example of how Queen Victoria Market is moving with the times and adapting to meet the changing needs of customers and traders.”
“The new online service will bring the Market’s amazing fresh produce to those who are time-poor and may not be able to visit the Market regularly, or at all, to buy groceries, but who still want to enjoy what Victoria’s favourite market has to offer,” said Queen Victoria Market CEO Stan Liacos.
The participating traders include:
- The Epicurean
- Tribal Tastes
- The Bread Box
- Rare Organics
- The Fresh Pear
- Vic Market Organics
- Seafood and Oyster Spot
- Vic Meat Supply
- Gazza’s Gourmet Seafood
- Nifra Poultry
- The Corner Chicken Shop
- The Eggporium
- QV Nut Co
- McIvers Tea & Coffee
- Swords Wines
The move comes after the re-opening of String Bean Alley, an updated laneway which features 26 local independent artisans such as Bruce Goose, Made In Japan, Kiki Kids, and more.
