Rowena Martinich’s New Exhibition ‘Colourboss’ Opens Today

Art lovers, unite. Rowena Martinich is giving us a sweet exhibition to check out this weekend.

Martinich has worked with some pretty big clients, including Nike, Facebook, Mecca Cosmetica, the National Gallery of Victoria and Dulux, to name a few.

Her public art career kicked off with a series of murals painted on the glass facades of public buildings. The biggest? A five-storey window installation at RMIT University.

Since then, she's created a ton of landmark works, aiming to engage the public with their environment. Martinich now has public works in the US, UK, Italy, France, Turkey and China, and they’re all exceptional.

Her latest exhibition will feature a number of new works on canvas, revealing an evolution of her practice, while still retaining her signature chromatic intensity. A photographic retrospective of her public works will also be on display, along with video documentation of her studio processes.

Here are the deets. Colourboss opens Friday October 26 and runs until Sunday October 28 at OzDare Creative Studios, 73 Cromwell Street, Collingwood. It'll be open 11am till 6pm.
