Happy freaking February, Melbourne! We were starting to wonder if we would ever see another month again. (In case you didn’t count, there were FIVE Mondays in January. FIVE.)

Now that we can finally move on with 2018, let’s talk about all the awesome things that happened this week (plus a few things to cram into your weekend). Melbourne is bumpin'.

  • FYI: The 2018 Yak Ales BBQ Fest is happening in Melbourne this weekend. It's gonna be a proper BBQ festival with brisket, beer and bands. That’ll do.

  • Our friends at Stix are spreading the wealth and now supplying all Royal Stacks locations with glorious frozen cheesecakes on a stick. What did we do to deserve this?!

  • Eat your weight in dumplings at New Shanghai with their new seasonal dumpling that’s available from 5 February to 2 March. Legend has it that the more dumplings you eat during Chinese New Year, the more money you can make. Bring. It. On.

  • ICYMI: Our favourite gelateria, Piccolina, partnered with Paperfish to grace us with a pop-up to help us beat the heat this summer #blessup

  • Attention all Broadway fans! The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Falsettos will play at Chapel off Chapel from 1-12 February. Check it out!

  • In case you need a reason to question humanity, The Cornish Arms in Brunswick has created the Vegan Double Down. Don’t all run there at once.

  • We found out where to get the best chicken wings in Melbourne because we know this is what you actually crave in life.

  • The Queen Vic Market is offering FREE yoga classes every Saturday morning in February. Namaste, Listers.

  • California Burgers on Chapel St just launched a new stack. It's called the Altman: 2 x smashed patties, 2 x American cheese, turkey bacon, pineapple, lettuce, tomato, raw onion, pickles and pink mayo. NOM.

  • Meet Melbourne’s newest world-class pasta bar. She’ll give Nonna a run for her money (love you, Grams).

  • Oi! An Aussie-themed cocktail bar just opened in Windsor. You can find us sippin’ on Negronis while bobbin’ our head to some major tunez here.

  • Caulfield Racecourse is going all out with a HUGE carnival Saturday 10 February to celebrate the official first day of the 2018 Festival of Racing. They’ll also have a massive pool party...but you can’t get in the pool #tease.
