The good folk at Vapiano are just as nuts about food as we are, and they’re super passionate about sourcing ingredients locally wherever possible. You’ll also be able to enjoy some delicious Italian food and wine. Win.
If you miss the events, follow Vapiano on instagram (@vapianoaustralia) to catch the stories behind the produce.

Saturday 1st August
TRAILER PARK AT THE VILLAGE
A curated selection of your favourite Melbourne food trucks are returning as part of Trailer Park at The Village. Sitting conveniently on St Kilda Road, The Village will host a different selection of food trucks each weekend throughout August. Getting the ball rolling this weekend are the American food themed trucks—think burgers, icecream and toasties all in the one location. We know where we’ll be eating there erry weekend in August. Whoops.
DATSUN TRAN EXHIBITION
Renowned Melbourne artist David Bromley has taken a young artist under his wing, so ya’ll better listen up. Datsun Tran, a first generation Australian from a refugee family followed his heart into the art world and has been working out of David Bromley’s studio in Melbourne.
Tran is exhibiting his new collection of works, titled Beautiful Fierce, at Bromley & Co on Chapel street, and the exhibition opens this Saturday. Tran has worked with several different mediums to produce works that focus on animals as an exploration of human nature.
FOODIES at MIFF
You have to be a tiny bit crazy to spend all your money on the hunt for the perfect meal. But it’s a driven kind of crazy and it’s an endless pursuit of perfection. There are a select few who have taken this task to heart and, though self-appointed, have become renowned food critics. Foodies is showing at ACMI as part of the Melbourne International Film Festival, and ticket holders will be treated to a culinary experience designed by Peter Rowland Catering. The film itself follows a handful of staunch food critics on the journey that their quest takes them. The film is a detailed insight into the eccentricities that inevitably accompany the personalities behind both the dishes and the blogs that critique them. Never have we seen so much truly beautiful food in one 90 minute sitting. Great food AND a movie FTW! See you there.
