Praise yeezuz, hallelujah, the North Melbourne Wine & Cheese Fest is nigh! We’re only two sweet months away from the fermented fruit and pressed milk curd event of the season (aww yeaaaah).
On April 2, North Melbourne’s Meat Market will come alive with a fab selection of local and international produce including wine, cider, cheese, beer, olive oil, charcuterie boards and a bunch of other handmade products that’ll make you feel guilty for eating a tube of Pringles in the bath for dinner two nights this week (**ALERT** they’re 2 for $5 at Cole atm).
On top of all this INSANE grub, not only will you get to wet your whistle with a local bev, but you’ll get to meet the makers who made it and learn first-hand about cheese making and wine tasting at one of the Master Classes included in your entry ticket (how bow dah??). But more importantly, there’s a Grape Stomp Comp where you can finally channel your rage over the recent price markup of Passion Pop.
On top of a general atmosphere of ‘srsly, guys, what a time to be alive’, there’ll also be live jazz on the main stage and a d-floor with a fully equipped DJ so you can dance your way into negative calories (ready for those dessert Pringles).
There’s a pretty elaborate ticketing system involving drink tokens, but we can assure you you’ll save huge cash-dollas purchasing them with your ticket online instead of at the gate. Entry also comes with a souvenir festival glass, so the whole thing’s basically an investment.
Tickets will sell fast (it’s a cheese and wine festival), so make sure you secure your place by purchasing your ticket here. For more info about the event and ticket prices, check out the Wine & Cheese Fest website.
