An Evening With Truffles At Manta

Truffles, they never go out of style and somehow manage to work with every dish ever made. This week, Manta at Woolloomooloo are hosting a whole evening of them and we can’t wait. Head Chef Steve Hetherington & Gourmet Life’s Josh Rea have collaborated to work truffle into everything from scotch egg to crémeux in the best five-course truffle-ised meal you’ll have this week.

When: Thursday 11th August, 7pm

Mama’s Buoi Pho Festival

If your love of pho is even half what ours is, then you’re going to love this. Mama’s Buoi is hosting a pho festival, yep, you read that right, a whole menu full of the best un-pho-gettable dishes to keep your cravings satisfied. The menu takes everything you know and love about pho and manages to incorporate it into a cocktail, rice paper rolls and even ice cream. Obviously the star of the meal is the ultimate seafood pho, but we’ll let you be the judge. Get in quick, cause this menu is only available until the end of the month!

Get Active On The Green

For one week only, Greenwood Plaza in North Sydney is set to transform into a fitness haven. It is never too early to start attempting to get your summer bod back (or get one to start with), and we’re thinking this is the best way to kick start it. Over the week you’ll find two daily yoga sessions that fit perfectly into your lunch break, and all your favourite Greenwood Plaza eateries providing complimentary snacks for the walk back to work, uni, or just back to real life.

Campari Superga Sneaker Monogramming

This month Campari are rediscovering Red at the Clare Bar in Chippendale. A series of events throughout the month will celebrate the classic Italian liqueur. This Wednesday you’ll get the chance to monogram a pair of Italy’s fave sneakers, Supergas. Enjoy a Campari cocktail while you watch your initials get etched into your new favourite red and white kicks.

When: All throughout August, but get your sneakers monogrammed on Wednesday 10th only!

Live Forever Britpop Edition Covers For A Cause

Britpop—everyone’s secret weakness. The Soda Factory in Surry Hills are hosting Covers For A Cause in support of R U OK? Day and they’ve got the best theme ever. No matter how much you try to deny it, when Champagne Supernova starts, you’re gonna know every word. The diner menu is sure to fulfil all your winter cravings and the cocktails will make even the worst Radiohead cover sound great.
