In what must be the holiest dessert union since Ben laid eyes on Jerry, cult gelato gurus, Gelato Messina are teaming up with the cats at one of our fave Brisbane restuarants, Gerard’s Bar, for one month of gelato-filled glory. Food collaborations don’t come much cooler.
Start fasting now, ‘cause two new desserts—dreamed up in a creative partnership between Gerard’s Bar’s Ben Williamson and Messina’s head chef, Donato Toce—are about to hit the menu this Sunday.
The first dessert is the Mariachi Medicine: a chocolate parfait with pistachio gelato, rose, and raspberry paper (dying); and the second is gelato-cocktail, made with tonka bean and bergamot sorbet stirred through chilled vodka and Prosecco—The Tonka GoneDollar.
If you’re keen to sample this dynamic duo you’d better be quick—the desserts are launching this Sunday at Gerard’s weekly Aperitivo Sundays event, and the Mariachi Medicine is available for one day only! The Tonka GoneDollar cocktail is sticking around for longer, available on Sundays at Gerard’s Bar for the next four weeks.
