We’re taking a deep dive into the worlds of some of Australia’s coolest creatives. From digital artists to DJs and fashion photographers, we’re constantly on the lookout for women killing it in their industries because in our opinion, that’s certainly something to celebrate.

Dose up on all the fierce inspiration you need right here thanks to Paco Rabanne’s bold new fragrance, Lady MILLION EMPIRE.

Phebe Starr, Musician

Born and raised in rural New South Wales, Phebe Starr has gifted us with smooth electro-synth tunes that have been compared to the likes of Florence and the Machine and Lykki Li. Her songs have had serious airplay on Triple J, travelled through cyberspace and landed on blogs like Neon Gold and publications like Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. She’s also toured America and played at the SXSW Festival in Texas, no small feat for a breakout artist. Most recently Starr dropped an intoxicating new EP ‘Ice Tea Liberace’, so if you feel like feeding your soul with some fire tunes, you know what to do.

Kelly Maker, Digital Artist

There’s every chance you’ve seen one of Kelly Maker’s glittering artworks grace your feed. A photographer and digital artist based in Melbourne, Kelly’s work has been shared by huge A-listers like Miley Cyrus and Candice Swanepoel. At the age of 19, Kelly taught herself how to digitally manipulate photographs she’d captured on her 35mm camera resulting in a totally eclectic style she calls ‘paper edits’. While some of her works are static collages with cut-outs of models laid over book pages or outlined in glitter, she’s also introduced a gif-like element to her designs that’s completely scroll-stopping.

KLP, DJ, Producer and Vocalist

This Sydney-based powerhouse is not your run of the mill DJ. KLP was the host for Triple J’s House Party, played at SXSW, Splendour in the Grass, Field Day, BIGSOUND and Falls Festival, recently dropped a new EP and became a mother. What can’t she do? Best known for her layered melodies mixed with bass-heavy tracks, go ahead and plug your ears with this pure magic.

Lauren Winzer, Tattoo Artist

Her hyperrealistic work has been splashed across buildings in Melbourne and she’s even been commissioned by Dwayne Johnson (NBD). Majority of her portraits feature rappers like Biggie and Tupac or legendary sports stars like Lebron James. Danielle Weber is quickly becoming recognised the world over, so prepare to see a lot more from this talented artist.

Lady Drewniak, Photographer

A regular on the fashion week circuit capturing colourful pre-show looks and backstage at some of the biggest festivals, Lady (Alex) Drewniak’s photography style is the ultimate blend of sophistication and swag. She’s shot at VAMFF, toured North America with Tigerlily, worked on campaigns with Tkay Maidza, shot backstage at Crooked Colours—honestly, we could go on. Her portfolio knows no bounds but aside from Lady Drewniak’s work, she also boasts a super cool aesthetic, so if you’re in the need for some serious style inspiration and straight-up good vibes, check her out on the ‘Gram.

BENEE, Musician

This Kiwi catapulted to stardom last year when just out of high school she dropped her first single ‘Soaked’ that has since been downloaded a casual 20 million times. Now 20 years old, BENEE is a regular on Triple J’s airwaves, performed Like A Version with Frenchman Petit Biscuit, and is now touring internationally. If you haven’t already, plug your ears with BENEE’s nostalgia-washed 80s funk tunes, you won’t regret it.

Now you’ve got your daily dose of inspiration, get out there and own it thanks to the all-new Lady MILLION EMPIRE perfume from Paco Rabanne.
