The folks at The Star Entertainment Group have launched one of Australia’s largest seafood festivals, and to say we are excited is an understatement. World class chefs at The Star Gold Coast will be bringing you a culinary celebration of seafood, with only the freshest and best quality produce being served at their multi-award-winning restaurants and across a number of bespoke events.
Freshtival kicks off Thursday 18 April and will run until Friday 31 of May, which means us lucky Gold Coasters will be treated to over a month of amazing seafood prepared by some of the most talented chefs in the business.
Executive head chef Chase Kojima of our fave, Kiyomi, has created two mouth-watering dishes for the occasion, including a tempura Moreton Bay Bug grapefruit salad with sambal aioli and seared Shark Bay scampi with foie gras and apple shiso leaf. Then dial up the luxury level with a visit to Nineteen at The Star for their signature Rock Lobster Bolognese—an absolute gamechanger. Other eateries at The Star will also be joining the Freshtival celebrations, offering up some truly mouth-watering dishes. Think garlic prawn pizza, grilled Patagonian toothfish, and toasted Nori, just to name a few. While Cocktail bar Cherry will be slinging complimentary fresh oysters with every bottle of Moet and Chandon purchased.
In fact, every inch of the The Star is getting into the nautical spirit, from ocean-inspired facials and treatments at their luxury spa to a light show, Freshtival is the ultimate way to engage all the senses, from taste to sight and sound.
