Sideshow At Arts Centre Gold Coast
Love the arts, music, theatre, comedy and cocktails? Well, you’ll be intrigued to learn about Arts Centre Gold Coast’s new regular soiree in The Basement—Sideshow. With a rotating lineup of entertainment, this Friday and Saturday night, be dazzled by a cheeky music theatre performance that pokes fun at a very GC cliché, First World White Girls’ Botox Party. Grab a ‘botox’ cocktail, some tapas eats and prepare to near wet yourself at one of the best things to do on the Gold Coast this weekend.

Buskers By The Creek
With SWELL over for another year, we know you’re looking for any old excuse to drag the fam bam back down to magical Currumbin. Well folks, this is a damn fine reason—the return of Buskers by the Creek. Smattered along the Currumbin estuary foreshore adjacent to Duringan Street, this family-friendly event has a whopping 300 artists and performers lined up for the weekend-long fest. Think: a swag of live bands and solo musos, child prodgies, street theatre, magicians, comedians, dance troupes and a floating circus, plus market stalls and food trucks with ample street eats to munch down on. Those good vibes come for free.

BLANC de BLANC
Direct from sell-out seasons in London’s West End, the Sydney Opera House and Adelaide Fringe Festival, BLANC de BLANC is a sassy champagne cabaret that’s so damn popular the encore performance has just been extended to Sunday 12 November. We were lucky enough to check out the show IRL and let’s just say our cheeks are still sore from grinning like crazy. The evening progresses from refined theatre musical to downright debauchery, all under the magical veil of a purpose-built ‘Spiegeltent’ circus tent. You’d be a fool to miss one of the most entertaining things to do on the Gold Coast this spring.

The Green Marquee Eco Twilight Markets
If you’ve loved The Green Marquee’s sunny daytime markets, you must swing along to check out their first twilight edition! Expect all the feel-good community vibes as you wander around market stalls adorned with recycled clothing, to handmade jewellery, organic baby accessories, textiles, ceramics, vegan skincare, hanging plants, farm fresh produce and natural ice creams; plus delish food trucks, live music, a Kerbside Collective circus workshop for the kids and local brewskies from Black Hops for the adults.

Hey Sunshine Music Party & Surf Celebration
This Saturday 14 October, Burleigh Brewing Co.’s taphouse will transform into a mini festival site with nostalgia-themed staging, light installations and surf film projections by local filmmakers, creating an energy-filled retro vibe. Hey Sunshine will see a healthy line-up of vibrant musical acts taking to the main stage, creating an afternoon that’s sure to see you grooving; expect to discover local and interstate artists you’re surprised you’ve lived without.

Jack Evans Boat Harbour Lifestyle Markets
The Social Markets are spreading their wings south, adding Jack Evans Boat Harbour Lifestyle Markets to their rotating monthly roster. Promised to pop up on the third Sunday of each month, with food trucks, local fresh produce, yoga on the beach, flea market and rummage sales, kid’s entertainment, classic cars, live beats and drinks— alfresco-style. This family and dog-friendly event will include, get this, dog wash and grooming services, so your fave four-legged friend can walk away feeling pimp! They’ve thought of everything.

Muse over local designers, shoulder sway to live musicians and dig your teeth into some delicious street food at Gold Coast’s bi-monthly Sunday ritual, The Village Markets. We can almost guarantee you’ll be walking away with an empty wallet with the likes of ceramics, homewares, bohemian threads and accessories, all-natural beauty products, babywear so adorable your ovaries will burst, and oh so much more. Are you searching for one of the very best markets on the Gold Coast? Well, you’ve come to the right place.

LC Sundays Vegan Market
Lovechild Place’s LC Sundays vegan market will be bringing the plant-loving vibes to October, again gathering together various vegan vendors selling treats that’ll make any foodie weak in the knees. Add to that, DJ tunes, animal product-free fashion threads, plants, flowers and all the warm and fuzzy feels.

Gold Coast 600 King Of Burleigh Hill
You don’t need a power-charged supercar to be the king of our mountain. Nope, you just need a go-cart that comes with super speedy racing stripes and doesn’t fall apart when launching over ramps. Gold Coast’s spectator friendly King Of Burleigh Hill returns this weekend with thrills and spills aplenty guaranteed.
