Drop everything, grab your credit card and get your ticket booking fingers ready, because a five-course dinner dedicated to gelato is happening and if you miss out, you’ll be (ice) screaming.
The uber talented gelato makers over at La Macelleria have teamed up with Atelier Brasserie for a night that will challenge your senses and make you rethink your outlook on life, dishing up both sweet and savoury gastronomical gelato for one night only on Wednesday 4 September.
The five-course menu will feature modern takes on classic European dishes created by Head Chef Dallas Costello from Atelier Brasserie, but with a one-of-a-kind twist thanks to the frozen additions from La Macelleria’s Matteo Zini. Think mortadella and ricotta gelato with crunched pistachios, beef tartare with dijon mustard gelato and cone bay barramundi with fennel sorbet. We’re equal parts confused and drooling.
There’s only one way to taste test your way through the entire menu though, and that’s to grab tickets to the dinner, which is taking place at Atelier Brasserie on King Street in Bowen Hills. Seats are $79 per person, which frankly, sounds like a steal if it means we get to eat gelato for dinner.
Nab your tickets here right away, because these babies are bound to sell out.
