Originating on the sunny shores of Manly in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, 4 Pines has just unveiled its first branded bar outside of NSW, landing right here on the Gold Coast—Coolangatta to be precise.

Given Cooly feels much like a mini Manly with its Norfolk Pines, salty vibes and deeply engrained surf culture, it was a natural fit to bring the 4 Pines brand to this laid-back southern outpost. 4 Pines has teamed up with Boardriders Coolangatta who, for the past four years, have operated a chill cafe slash bar on the esplanade, adjoining their flagship surf store.

4 Pines x Boardriders Coolangatta opened this week after a big freshen up including a significant bar redesign, new artwork and, most importantly, the exciting addition of 4 Pines’ core beer lineup and limited-edition Keller Door releases like the Blueberry Gose and Kiwi Brut IPA. Worth driving south for, now you can readily sip on 4 Pines famous Pacific Ale, Summer Ale or Nitro Stout while you watch the Pacific Ocean glittering from across your table.

One of Australia’s original boutique brewers and drawing on hospitality expertise from a huge portfolio of venues across NSW, 4 Pines is also introducing a classic Australian cafe and pub menu, expanding the breakfast and lunch offering and adding dinner for the first time.

Think: sweet-spiced granola with shaved coconut, Greek yoghurt and seasonal Queensland fruits for breakfast, or lunch and dinner signatures like The Chook Burger with Cornflake crunch buttermilk fried chicken thigh, peanut butter, chilli, pickled cabbage, pickles and Sriracha on a milk bun—the perfect post-beach sesh refuel. Wash it all down with fresh juices, smoothies and milkshakes or, our pick, boozy breakfast drinks like The Brekky Beer with 4 Pines Pale Ale, vodka, acai puree and lemon juice.

4 Pines x Boardriders Coolangatta is now open seven days for breakfast and lunch, with dinner available from Wednesday through Sunday, ideal for those afternoon sessions that spontaneously roll on right into the night.
