Don’t you just love, love? Being the big old softies that we are, we’ve gone and done a serious solid by rounding up a bunch of super cute and endlessly entertaining date ideas on the Gold Coast to keep your romance blossoming.

Cause as time goes by, we know offering to do the dishes/laundry/walk the dog—insert your most hated chore here—just won’t cut it!

Pen and paper at the ready, here are the best date ideas to impress every bae on every level…

For Outdoorsy Bae

If your love is all about nature then you can’t go past an outdoor adventure. But we’re not talking about any old camping. Nightfall, located in the stunning Lamington National Park, has nailed glamping with the perfect combo of secluded wilderness and swoon-worthy luxuries. In warmer months, you can open the canvas walls of your stunning safari-style tent to relish in the surrounding rainforests. While in winter you can keep it intimately closed, spending your evenings relaxing in the free-standing bath or curling up in front of the fireplace. If you want to go nek-level you can even opt for complete organic catering which means more time to enjoy the private natural spa-pools, explorations into the forest, or—wait for it—an outdoor massage by the creek.

Where: Nightfall, Lamington National Park
Cost: $795 per night

For Beer-loving Bae

If your partner can’t get enough of the golden thirst quencher then you’re in luck, because the Coast is positively bursting with craft breweries. So why not plan an epic Saturday sesh with your love by taking them on a brewery crawl. Start in Burleigh with Black Hops; we recommend sinking a couple of their award-winning pale ale. Then bike or Uber (depending on how much you’ve had to drink) down the road to Miami and visit the good folk at Lost Palms. Be sure to get a lovers’ selfie in front of their iconic pale pink walls. Last but certainly not least, head to Currumbin hotspot Balter for an XPA and a feed from their delish and ever-changing food truck. Spending the day in the beautiful GC sunshine while sampling tasty brews? That sounds like a winner to us.

Where: Miami to Currumbin

For Sporty Bae

Live sport? Check. Food trucks? Check. Booze? Check. Ok we’ve hit the trifecta here for your sport-loving bae. And where does all this goodness exist you might ask? At the Gold Coast Suns’ next home game of course. Your SO will be over the moon when you flash a couple of tickets to watch our boys take on Carlton this Saturday night. Even if you’re not into sports yourself, you will be cheering your head off 10 minutes in to the match because the atmosphere is so damn catchy. With plenty of match day entertainment including music and mouth-watering treats, bae will be scoring you a solid 10/10 for this date option. And if you really want to impress, why not grab them a Suns beanie, ball or jersey too and suggest a kick around after the game. Can you say partner of the year of what?

For Foodie Bae

While the GC is spoilt for choice when it comes to eateries, if you’re after something extra special for date night, The North Room will really blow bae’s hair back. Husband and wife duo Tim and Shannon Stewart are seriously pushing the boat out with their incredible menu; think oysters with smoked pork fat, rosemary and lemon followed by zucchini flowers stuffed with pork jowl, nectarine and turnip, and mud crab with potato and apple to finish. Unless you still have room and then we recommend the tasting menu, which at just $59 per person is a steal for this culinary experience. Not to mention, the 28-seat restaurant is dark, moody and oh so chic with brushed concreate tiles and an intimate ink-blue velvet banquette running the length of the room. It simply oozes romance.

Where: The North Room, 2527 Gold Coast Hwy, Mermaid Beach
Cost: $59 per person

For Adventurous Bae

If you’re sick of “dinner and drinks” and have already tried all the ten-pin bowling and mini golf venues the Coast has to offer, we have great news for you! Introducing Lumber Punks Axe Throwing. Yeah, you read that right, we’re suggesting you take your lover axe throwing. Not convinced? Humour us for a second. For $45 you and yours will get an hour and a half session taking you through all the basics to help perfect your skills—literally anyone can learn how to throw a good axe. Best yet, there’s a juke box for you to pick your tunes and a fridge stocked with beer. Oh wait, did we mention there’s even novelty Viking hats for you to wear? Yep, this place is one of a kind.

For Artsy Bae

Booze and brilliant works of art might not sound synonymous, but if your bae is of the cultured variety they’ll love the opportunity to show off their artistic skills AND drink wine. Whether you’re a weekday or weekend drinker-meets-creative, head over to Brush & Barrel and try one of their unique paint and sip workshops. You’ll be guided by an instructor while slapping around paint and creating dazzling artworks. Perhaps your muse is the woods, animals, or even your love. No matter your skillset, with a tasty BYO vino in one hand and a paint brush in the other, you’re in for a cracking good night.

Where: Brush & Barrel; Shop 1, 3290 Surfers Paradise Boulevard, Surfers Paradise
Cost: $60 via website (BYO drinks)

For Bae Who’s Done It All

We all know that one person who has visited all the cool new venues and tried all the fun things to do on the Coast which makes impressing them pretty much impossible. If that person also happens to be your bae, then wowing them with a date is even harder. Well luckily for you, we’ve done our homework and found a spectacular cocktail degustation. Head over to Iku Yakitori & Whisky Bar in Burleigh on a Monday night to witness ridiculously talented mixologist Adam Bastow whip up seven incredible cocktails for you and your SO to sip on. You can forget your standard tipple, Adam is a regular Willy Wonka with his creations, think sweet potato vodka or a margarita with Philly cheese—seriously it’s delish. Even better, the menu changes every single week, so you can keep know-it-all bae guessing. You’re welcome.

Where: Iku Yakitori & Whiskey Bar, 1730 Gold Coast Hwy, Burleigh Heads
Cost: $60 per person
