The wait is over! One of the most anticipated new openings of 2018 has been dangling like a carrot for months now, and today, we can finally share the juicy news. Yes, it’s official! The LC, the Coast’s trail blazing permanent foodie marketplace is ready to open.
This SUNDAY, peeps! That’s right, only a few more sleeps and you’ll get to experience first hand this daring, multi-vendor marketplace. One that will not only become a shrine for plant-loving foodies and their supportive friends, but is welcoming to those who are curious (maybe even skeptical), to see what’s possible with food made exclusively from ingredients derived from plants. Prepare for your mind to be blown!
Not only is this Gold Coast’s first permanent plant-based marketplace, it’s the FIRST IN AUSTRALIA. Struth! And we can puff our chests with pride knowing the future of our precious planet is one step closer to a more sustainable existence, thanks to this gutsy group of Gold Coast entrepreneurs.
Opening at a sparrow’s fart 6am on Sunday 29 April, come early for vegan baked goodies by much-loved Flour of Life Bakery (who’ve migrated south from Helensvale) plus gourmet delicatessen noms like nourishing sandwiches, wraps, salads and coffee thanks to Flora, by the adored gals at Greenhouse.
Come lunchtime, you’ll finalllllly have the opportunity to get your mitts on—what they’re boasting to be the world’s first—plant-based kebabs by BVK (Burgers vs Kebabs). Your fave vegan ramen gang, i love ramen, will also join the family with their first permanent eatery, selling so much more than just ramen (hello, panko crumbed mushrooms). Even though we all know ramen is #lyfe. And what’s a massive boon for the Coast, Sydney’s lauded Gigi’s Pizzeria is bringing wood-fired deliciousness and vegan Italian gelato to our salivating mouths—every day of the week.
Did we mention the licensed back deck, complete with a bar and sustainably produced boozy tipples, twinkle lights and live music on weekends. Can we get a ‘hell yeah’?!
If you’re yet to figure out exactly where The LC is located on the highway between Miami and Nobby Beach, once the lights flick on this weekend, we expect you’ll have no problem spotting this thriving beacon of good vibes and mindful eats. We have faith that The LC is one destination that’s about to become a permanent fixture on your social calendar.
