2016 was the year the Gold Coast firmly cemented itself as a hot contender on the national craft beer scene, and it seems 2017 shows no sign of slowing.
Yep, it’s true peeps; we’ve just received word of another beer-related development to further stoke the fire. We’re bloody excited to share that preparation for a new brewery is in full swing—sooooo you better get ready to give a hearty welcome to Lost Palms Brewing Co.!
Here’s what we know.
Construction will soon get underway in a yet-to-be-disclosed location close to Miami Marketta, that will see an industrial warehouse space converted into the Coast’s newest addition to the craft brewing scene. Lost Palms Brewing Co’s brewery and adjoining tap house is set to become a super chill neighbourhood oasis where everyone is welcome to hang and knock back a few locally brewed coldies.
The team is currently sourcing 20hL capacity brewing equipment from New Zealand, finalising design elements of the fit-out, and perfecting recipes for their launch brews. They’re also working on a compact but satisfying bar snack menu—expect tasty bites that’ll help you soak up all those craft brews you’ll be sinking.
Once the core brewery and tap house biz is underway and humming along, there will be scope for food trucks and events on occasion, plus intriguing plans to engage local artists for collab creations from recipe inspo to beer brand artwork.
Now the question that you’re all wanting answered. When will Lost Palms Brewery Co. be opening to the public? Well that, friends, is still inconclusive, but the crew are hinting that we should be penciling it into our calendars for early spring. If you want to stay in the loop, keep your eyes planted on Metropolist, ‘cause we’ll be spilling all the deets—including who is actually behind the project—as soon as the first beers are ready to fill your schooners.
Can’t wait that long? Jump over to their brand new (read: no posts yet) Insta page for up-to-the-minute progress. Can we get a “heck yes”?!
Frothing in anticipation? While you wait, whet your whistle at these sweet craft breweries on the Gold Coast and within driving distance. Cheers!
