Beautifully quaint and rustic, this charming Bondi institution specialises in locally sourced ingredients. The Green Breaky Bowl of kale, spinach, coriander, mint, parsley, eggs, and avocado is packed with antioxidants. And you cannot go past the Green Pea Pancakes for one of the best breakfasts in Bondi, featuring smashed eggs, feta, avocado and mint salad. Coffee arrives via Will & Co and is sure to give you that morning kick.

Chapter One Coffee and Wine Room

Among Bondi's plethora of cafes and restaurants, Chapter One is a cosy nook on the southern side of Bondi. Serving up a delicious berry and spiced bircher museli, this is a gorgeous spot for breakfast with vistas across our glorious beach.

Shop and Wine Bar

Hidden behind the main strip of Bondi, Shop and Wine Bar is a pocket-sized café with milk-crate seating and tall window stools. Open from breakfast till dinner, you can't go past the bruschetta, served on toasted cape seed loaf and presented on a rustic wooden board. Simple and delicious breakfast in Bondi!

Bondi Picnic

The team at Bondi Picnic sure know how to pack a punch for your breakfast pleasure. This corner café is renowned for its vege-cado toast, which allows you to build your own breakfast, and includes two slices of toast served with avocado, vegemite and lemon. Optional sides including poached eggs, mushrooms and pancetta, would not go amiss. This is a local favourite and one of the best breakfasts Bondi has to offer—check out the amazing pastries too!

Brown Sugar

A long-standing Bondi establishment, Brown Sugar continually serves up exceptional breakfast fare. The menu is brimming with hearty savoury and sweet options, but you can't go past the buttermilk pancakes, which are served up with either bacon and banana or seasonal fruit and yoghurt. Get in early to secure a spot at this popular Bondi breakfast spot.

Bondi Massive

Nestled at the top of the hill on the southern side of the beach, Bondi Massive features both a take-out coffee booth and full-blown café. Constantly brimming with hungry patrons, the baked eggs is a local favourite—packed with prosciutto, Manchego cheese and sage, thrown under the grill and served with salsa and crispy sourdough.

Lox Stock & Barrel

Bearing similarity to a New York-style deli, Lox Stock & Barrel has become a popular Bondi haunt. The Reuben sandwich will have you salivating, created with wagyu corned beef, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut. Try the Avocado Smash with cherry tomatoes, mint, lemon, fetta and radish; or the Zucchini Omelette with almond, spinach, Parmesan and Jalapenos—definitely some of the best breakfast dining in Bondi.

The Hill Eatery

From the boys that brought us Porch and Parlour, their second Bondi outpost The Hill Eatery is a tad more sleek and sophisticated, with ample space and seating. With an ethos of farm to plate, all produce is ethically sourced and the menu is wholesome and unpretentious. The breakfast board is particularly sought after, and is big enough for two.

Jo and Willys Depot

This café-cum-wine-bar dishes up a quintessential Bondi breakfast experience—great coffee, healthy fare and dramatic views across the beach. Conveniently located at the North Bondi bus depot, get to this eatery for a pre-surf bite or afternoon glass of vino. The gluten-free pancakes are a standout, served with yoghurt and mixed berry compote, and are available all day.

Sefa Kitchen

Offering a modern take on the warmth of Middle Eastern traditions, SEFA Kitchen is a Bondi breakfast favourite. The corn cakes are coated in a delicious combination of za'atar herbs and spices, topped off with haloumi. Why not go for some delicious Middle Eastern-style baked eggs for your weekend breakfast in Bondi?
