With the end of the long weekend looming, it’s just about time to get back into the grind. We know, we’re not keen either. Never fear though, we’ve rounded up a bunch of fab things to keep you motivated through those long, long work days. Who said you could only have fun on the weekend?

Go on, take a cheeky scroll, here are five awesome things to do in Sydney this week.

All Week

World Meat Free Week

We’re all about doing our bit for the environment and if going meat free for one week saves our big blue planet, we’re more than happy to do our little part. Join people around the world this Monday and participate in the meat free movement. Not only will you be helping the planet but think about all the delicious vegetarian burgers you’ve been meaning to try in Sydney. Rumour has it, eating meat for a week is the equivalent calories of 41 chocolate cookies (think about all the extra Tim Tams you now have the excuse to consume). If you want to learn more about the movement or need some recipe ideas, head over here.

When: Monday 11 June – Sunday 17 June
Where: Everywhere
Cost: Free

Nikon Vivid Photo Walk

Why waste your time taking substandard photos when you can go out with the pros and take the best of the best? Join the camera pros this Monday and explore the Vivid light installations around the Opera House and the Botanic Gardens. With an array of Nikon cameras and lenses available for you to play with throughout the night, you’ll have tons of fun shooting Sydney’s favourite light festival. And it’s pretty much guaranteed that you’ll get the perfect Insta to add to your collection. For more deets, head over here

Mario Kart Championship At SILY

We’re throwing it back to simpler times this week, to the days where you could afford to spend hours huddled in front of the TV, racing down Rainbow Road and trying not to slip on bananas. That’s right, this Wednesday you can relive the glory days with an OG Mario Kart Championship at Since I Left You. Featuring a knockout style tournament, you’ll be playing everybody’s favourite game on the good old N64. Go on, round up the crew and prove once and for all you will always be the reigning champ of Mario Kart. For more deets, head over here

The Science Of Manifesting

We all have dreams but how many of us can say we’ve turned those dreams into a reality? This Wednesday, The Indigo Project is putting on a workshop to teach us just that. Proving there’s more to it than just wishful thinking, you’ll learn the science behind how to manifest your visions into the life you want. In other words, it’s the perfect workshop to help you get your life in order and TBH that’s kind of exactly what we need right now. To grab your tickets, head here
