No matter whereabouts in Sydney you hail from, we’ve got the perfect food destinations to keep you from getting hangry this weekend. From delectable café fare to delicate seafood to wildly tasty Eastern delights, be sure to check out our list of must-try restaurants and cafes in Sydney guaranteed to make Monday jealous.

PAZAR Food Collective

Let the team at PAZAR Food Collective give you a warm hug and fill your bellies with some of the best Turkish food in Sydney. With a Turkish twist on a yum cha style menu with share plates being the name of the game, bring along a friend or ten. From the delicately light but no less flavoursome zucchini herb balls to the must-try succulent smoked lamb, you’ll be spoilt for choice. And if you can’t decide, then bring your stretchy pants and let the PAZAR kitchen take the reigns as they feast you with at least ten different share plates.

Luxe Woollahra

Well tickle us pink, Luxe Woollahra is one of the most stylish places to eat in the East (even Eric Bana has graced its delightfully blush walls). And the food is equally as chic. Indulge in a delectable eggs bennie or why not try the new winter menu sporting some of the tastiest nutritious salads around? Nestled away in a courtyard away from the hustle and bustle that is life (sigh), this quirky café in Woollahra is the perfect place to sip your weekend coffee in peace. Ah, the serenity.

Wild Basket

Neutral Bay

If Neutral Bay’s harbourside views weren’t reason enough to step out and enjoy the sunshine this weekend, then perhaps the deliciousness on offer at Wild Basket will be enough to persuade you to stop hitting snooze. Serving up some of the best coffee in the northside, relax and rewind as you munch on some of the best sangas in town, with the chilli and ginger shredded beef option being the new edition to the Wild Basket line-up. But the art of the sarnie isn’t their only area of expertise, they’ve also got a variety of soups, salads and small bites available to curb any appetite. Like a meal in particular? As believers in local produce, they’ve got heaps of goodies available at their shop front so be sure to check it out while you’re there!

Bondi’s Best

Be sure to make room in your diary for this Bondi institution this weekend (especially if you’ve just finished the City2Surf). The brainchild of Joel Best, premier chef at some of Australia’s best seafood restaurants, Bondi’s Best serves up some of the freshest seafood we’ve ever tasted. It’s like they’ve reached into the sea themselves and brought back some of the best local seafood just for us Sydneysiders. From precisely cut sashimi to comforting snapper pies (that are no dirty street pie), whether you dine-in or pop by for some takeaway sushi, there’s a reason why the locals keep coming back to this place.

The Henson

Listen up Listers, this Marrickville pub has recently gotten a face-lift and the locals are setting up camp and making this their new go-to watering hole. Renamed The Henson, this charming pub has a refreshing new sustainable ethos and grows much of their own produce locally. Menu highlights include the crackin’ ‘knuckle’ sandwich and the absolutely moreish mocha tiramisu. Be sure to pair your not-so-ordinary pub fare with some of the craft beers on offer and let the talented guys at The Henson wine and dine you this weekend.

Lan Yuan

Take a foodie trip to Southern China this weekend and be sure to sample the authentic Cantonese delights brought to you by this new addition to Top Ryde. The team behind Lan Yuan have given yum cha a contemporary update, so be sure to sample the much more Instagram-worthy and equally delicious dumplings on offer. Chinese classics to look out for include the Peking duck pancakes and mouth-watering sweet and sour pork. The perfect place for a casual meal out, we’ll be seeing you at Lan Yuan!
