If you’re a lover of cider, then you’ll want to pay close attention. The guys at Batlow Cider are about to host a festival celebrating great cider (obviously), live music, entertainment and food, and we can’t wait.
The Sydney-based Coombe brothers hit upon something good when they partnered with Australia’s Batlow Apples some years ago and turned it into something amazing and an event staple—Batlow Cider Co.
The festivities at Batlow CiderFest will allow punters to grab some of Batlow Cider Co’s finest and choose from tastings that are sold all around Australia and the world. Their premium cider mix is a standout classic; filtered, refreshingly crisp bottles of magic that boast fragrant hints of apple combined with an earthiness kick and medium-dry finish. With each apple hand picked and grown in perfect conditions, the right altitude and consistent rainfall, these babies are as good as gold (possibly better). For something sweeter, try their cloudy cider made in traditional farmhouse style with a bold apple sweetness upfront, good body and a clean medium-sweet finish. Us? We’ll be sampling them all.
At just $5 a person on entry, fill up your car with your best mates and head on down to explore the country town of Batlow (it’s home to Australia’s best apples and therefore apple cider). Spend the day discovering new flavours and meeting cider producers.
