A Festival Dedicated To Saké Is On Its Way To Sydney

This is the news that literally every Monday morning ever needs. A one-day sake festival is being hosted in a Sydney bottle-o and that means many samples with a side of saké trivia (arguably one of our favourite kinds).

For one afternoon this April, CBD bottle shop The Oak Barrel is bringing in the experts to chat all things sake and basically prove once and for all that you need this Japanese drink in yo’ life. In addition to sake (and yes, samples of the good stuff) they’ll also be celebrating Japan’s other epic drinks—think wine, the 15th century spirit awamori, shochu and sake spin offs, yuzushu and umeshi. There’ll also be traditional finger foods like sushi because drinking will absolutely work up an appetite.
