Sydney cabaret

Sydney is upping its culture game this week with Hidden Sydney, a no boundaries, immersive cabaret experience (yes, it isn’t JUST a show) in Kings Cross.

It’s breathing a little bit of class back in to the strip, with its all-star Australian cast (Rob Mills, Virginia Gay, Christa Hughes and Ben Gerrard), who will stay in character no matter what. Challenge accepted.

Hidden Sydney will take place across World Bar’s four storeys, which has been transformed into ‘The Nevada’ especially. It’ll literally be like walking in to another world – or you know, the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s, with characters from old school Kings Cross peppered throughout, ready to strike up a conversation and involve you in the show. Think bouncers, homeless drug dealers and prostitutes, all ready to tell you their stories.

Let the debauchery begin!

The details:

What: Hidden Sydney: The Glittering Mile
When: Friday 16 September – Sunday 9 October
Where: ‘The Nevada’ at The World Bar – Bayswater Road, Kings Cross
Cost: $35 on weeknights, $45 on weekends
