In case you’ve been living under a very sad, food-free rock, you’ll already know we’re obsessed with any and all food festivals. Because options are life and TBH we’re just plain hungry humans. Well, a huge Thai festival is coming to Sydney (more specifically, to Parramatta) and as if you needed another excuse to spend an afternoon in the sunshine, chowing down on some of Sydney’s best.
You won’t have to give up your cheeky sleep-in for this one, since it’s all kicking off at 4pm, and to paint you a little picture—your arvo will start at the food stalls and end in the Singha beer garden. Sounds good huh?
Between hitting the Thai food trucks, you’ll be creating your own krathong (loosely translated as a decorated lantern basket) to float down the river once the sun sets. Also hitting up the 3D photo booth, painting your own traditional kite, taking the kids to a cooking class and spending plenty of time relaxing on the grass in front of the main stage. Or you could just do the first and last one—no judgement from us.
Pack the sunscreen team, it’s going to be a long (and delicious) afternoon. More details here.
