There are very few things in this world that we love more than an all you can eat buffet. In fact, we cannot think of a single thing that we love more than stuffing myself silly, without any restrictions in place.
Well, next month, as part of the Sydney Underground Film Festival, you will have the chance to re-live the glory days of Saturday mornings past. Give the gym a miss for one Saturday morning, because we’re talking about hours of cartoons and unlimited sugary cereal here. This is not a drill guys and, in fact, all ages are welcome, so grab your friends, kids, their kids and throw on your most comfortable PJs. We recommend stretchy pants.
Curated by film programmer and critic, Kier-La Janisse, this event will be a two hour-long dedication to retro toons. There will be all kinds of 2D silliness and while the exact lineup hasn’t yet been announced, you can expect some old favourites and obscurities, spanning the ‘40s through to the ‘80s, with outrageous vintage commercials and PSAs in between.
