Just in time for summer, one of Bondi’s most famous beachfront venues has dropped a menu so good, even your skin will thank you.
The new and improved foodie and drinks line-up at Bondi Beach Public Bar is brought to you by the creative and health-conscious chef himself—Tom Walton, who you know from the likes of Harpoon Harry and The Bucket List; and award-winning cocktail master, Matt Whiley who heads up Scout Sydney.
To eat, you can expect a whole lot of wood-fired goodies alongside stone-baked flatbreads or a whole roasted chicken, and pub classics like the fresh crumbed fish burgers.
On the drinks front, Whiley is tapping into our thirst for slow drinking, wellness and dewy skin. He has created the ultimate low-cal cocktail list that’ll make a hot day in Sydney all the more bearable without tripping your summer health kick.
Turn up your inner glow with the aptly named “Glow” cocktail pumped with actual collagen Smirnoff, coconut water, vodka and soda. Unsure about collagen in your post-beach drink? Basically, it's a protein produced by mammals, that's said to improve skin plumpness, joint and gut health.
Other cocktails on the low-cal list include the “Revive”—a sweeter combo of Reishi rum, pineapple, guava, gotu cola and grapefruit soda. “Nourish” features turmeric and ginger Smirnoff, calamansi and lime, and “Uplift” features green tea Pampero Blanco, basil, pomegranate, red wine and soda.
