As the Easter long weekend draws near, the thought of chocolate eggs and hot cross buns has us salivating. This four-day weekend is all about sweet indulgence, but when you feel the need for some nutritive sustenance, or even just a coffee, here's our list of the dedicated (and selfless) cafes staying open.

From delectable pastries to artisan breads and sandwiches, get your fix at Bourke Street Bakery, open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 8am-4pm.

Brooklyn Hide
For the bagel lovers, Brooklyn Hide will be serving daily fresh goodies Friday, Saturday and Monday. Think in-house cured lox, braised pork shoulder or jerk chicken.

The Grounds of Alexandria
Held Saturday and Sunday (8am-3pm), The Grounds is hosting a sprawling holiday market, featuring live performances, arts and homemade pastries and treats.

Three Williams
You'll be licking your plates clean at this Redfern establishment—open Friday till Monday.

Fika Swedish Kitchen
Serving Easter lunch Saturday and Sunday, make the trip to the lovely Fika Swedish Kitchen in Manly.

Black Star Pastry
