Coogee Pavilion Set To Open!

Remember the old Beach Palace Hotel in Coogee? That late-night haunt, infamous for its cheap steak nights and karaoke machines. Well, our dear friends at Merivale have some big plans for the beachside venue, the first stage of which will be revealed on Tuesday 22 July when it opens the doors to the ground floor.

The iconic space has undergone a glorious makeover, with the idea to create a buzzing local hub, with a pizza bar, seafood restaurant, café, 'love juice' bar, Will & Co. coffee cart, library, games room, theatrette and in-house barber—yep, this new mega-development has it all! Bright, relaxed and playful, it's all about the laidback beach lifestyle.

Taking the reins in the kitchen is head chef Jordan Toft (of Los Angeles' Eveleigh restaurant), who will be serving up a seasonal Australian menu with fresh seafood at the forefront. Delicious bar snacks like Dan Hong's famed cheeseburger are perfect for a post-surf snack, while a kid's menu will also be on offer.

The remaining levels of Coogee Pavilion will re-open in stages over the coming months, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled!
