Darlinghurst institution, East Village, will reopen next month after a pretty great refurbishment. There will be three bars, set across three levels and each will have its own distinct feel and a personalised menu to match.
On the ground floor will be the public bar, affectionately referred to as a “wine-pub” because of their impressive selection of great wines, along with a rotating list of daily wines and limited edition offerings as well. The athletic club is the second bar offering, which is a classic take on the sports bar. Filled with old world charm, rare dark liquors, beer and whisky this is the kind of place Don Draper would happily hang out in.
Rounding out the three new offerings, and potentially the most exciting bar of all is the terrace rooftop, which boasts views over Sydney’s skyline. This is the place for communal tables, so bring your mates and choose from their menu of fresh and summery dishes. There is also a semi-private dining room hiding up here, if you prefer a little bit more privacy.
We do love a good rooftop bar.
East Village is set to open to the public in October 2016, watch this space for more details.
