Alright, the first line-up of artists has been announced for the biggest fire relief appeal yet, Fire Fight Australia—so block out your calendars, because it’s a biggie.
The gravity of Australia’s bushfires has been and continues to be overwhelmingly colossal with thousands of homes destroyed, an estimated one billion animals lost, around 11 million hectares of Australia’s bushland completed razed, and way too many lives lost. In a rallying effort to raise money for the national bushfire relief, TEG Dainty and TEG Live have locked in a stellar line-up of talent set to perform at Fire Fight Australia at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium.
Yep, if you’re keen to be part of history, this event will be hosted by comedian slash Australian hero Celeste Barber (who has already broken records with her own Facebook fundraiser that's clocked $50 million and counting).
One the lineup are rock legends Queen, who are just casually taking a break from their Australian “The Rhapsody Tour” to grace the stage in Sydney.
Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter k.d. lang is also locked to perform two songs and Alice Cooper is set to appear along with an insane Aussie lineup that includes the likes of John Farnham, Tina Arena, Amy Shark, Baker Boy, Conrad Sewell, Daryl Braithwaite, Delta Goodrem, Grinspoon, Guy Sebastian, Hilltop Hoods, ICEHOUSE, Illy, Jessica Mauboy, John Farnham, Lee Kernaghan, Olivia Newton-John, Peking Duk, Pete Murray and William Barton.
And if that doesn’t already blow your mind, a heap more artists will be added to the lineup soon.
