Living in Sydney during spring is the dream. At this time of year the city is just bursting with exciting new activities, events and exhibitions. We are endlessly making lists, ticking them off and then adding more. 

With that in mind we have listed our top five awesome things to do in Sydney this week, we would hate for you to miss out on any of them. 

Morning Yoga at Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel

Wake up and salute the rising sun. ClassPass and InYoga are giving you an opportunity to reinvigorate your mind, body and soul, basically recover from the long weekend. Held on the Top Deck of Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, the class is suited to all levels, whether you’re a seasoned yogi or a complete newbie when it comes to downward-dogging. Did we mention the class is free? You might even treat yourself to a delicious breaky at Beach Club after.

Good Food Month

There are so many reasons why we love October, footy finals, warm weather and most importantly it’s Good Food Month. There’s more than 150 foodie events happening over the month with our favs including tasty favourites like the Night Noodle Markets at Hyde Park and Tacos, Tequila and Tapas at Tico’s with Ghostboy Cantina in Surry Hills. So prepare those pallets, they’ll be getting a work out.

When: Sunday 1 – Monday 31 October

Australian Life Photography Exhibition 

View Australia through a different lens with this outdoor gallery showcasing work from 22 finalists who have looked beyond the iconic images of our country to reveal new insights into our identity. You will be mesmerized by the stunning close ups, wide angles, colours and diversity each of these photographers has captured. 

When: Daily till Sunday 9 October, 7am-9pm
Where: Hyde Park North, near Archibald Fountain
Cost: Free

Sixth Sense National Art School Gallery 

Arouse your senses for this new exhibition at Sydney’s National Art School Gallery. The featured artists are both cross-generational Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal artists, and draw our attention to the relationship between spirituality and the senses. 

When: Daily 11am-5pm
Where: National Art School Gallery, Forbes Street, Darlinghurst

Art About Sydney 

This month Art About Sydney has jam-packed their schedule with awesome art exhibitions and events. There are so many must sees we don’t know how we’ll fit them all in. Art About Sydney showcases temporary public art allowing us to check out thought provoking creations in unusual places. We’re pretty excited to check out the Little Sydney Lives exhibit displaying works from Sydney’s little ones, ranging from ages 3-11, it’s a fun way to see what the world looks like through the eyes of a kid all over again.

Cost: Varies depending on exhibition
