GAMI Is Opening In Sydney, And They’re Giving Away Fried Chicken

“Does Sydney not have Gami yet?”, our Melbourne friends asked. No doubt chalking it up for future Melbourne vs Sydney debates. Well, they can rub that off the blackboard pronto, because 1) We’re getting our very own GAMI at Central Park Mall, and 2) They’re giving away 1,600 pieces of Korean fried chicken this Monday and Tuesday.

GAMI, meaning “beautiful taste” in Korean, sling their delicious fried chook to hungry diners at multiple outlets in Melbourne, two in Perth...and a shiny new one in Sydney.

You can stuff your face with a conscience, since they only use RSPCA-certified chemical- and cage-free chicken. Their special chicken recipe uses 17 herbs and spices (take that, Colonel), and in true Kor-fried chicken style, much of the fat is rendered out during the cooking process. This leaves a skin that is shatteringly-crisp (and tasty AF) and moist, tender chicken meat underneath.

Their menu is designed to share, so you can score a whole chicken to snuffle with your mates. Throw in some Korean-inspired sides, and wash it down with some Korean fruit juices or beers from Thunder Road Brewery.

So get on down this Monday and Tuesday, because there’s nothing like free fried chicken to make your long weekend a great weekend.
