The mercury may have dropped but there’s more reason than ever to head on the town for a cocktail (or two). If you’re a gin fanatic then you’ll be well across Chippendale’s small bar Gin Lane, which was the home of last year’s iconic summer treat —boozy soft serves.
With this said, it’ll come as no surprise that this joint, dedicated to all things gin, is mixing up new concoctions for winter and you’ll want to get around them stat. The first epic mix, created by the bar’s master mixologist Grant Collins, is the “Smokers Delight”. Made with hemp gin, mezcal, toasted hemp seed, smoked agave syrup, cold-pressed Lime-Aqua and an edible hemp sticker, this green cocktail should absolutely be on your winter booze hitlist.
Other newbies on the menu include the cult TV-inspired concoctions; “Breaking Bad” and “Game of Thrones Wildfire”. Breaking Bad is a super cheeky creation served up in a science flask with a champagne injection, smoked sea salt “baggie” and combines smoked tequila, blue orgeat, absinthe green chartreuse.
As for the boozy GoT drink, expect a gin-pressed spiced pineapple mix, finished with smoke and served up in a glowing green goblet. Just casually.
